Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, has conceded that his social network filters the substance of private messages. He said this on a podcast with Ezra Klein on the Ezra Klein appear.
“We recognized that individuals were attempting to spread shocking messages,” Zuckerberg said.

Moreover, a representative for the organization disclosed to Bloomberg that Facebook’s goal for checking private messages is to avert manhandle.
“For instance, on Messenger, when you send a photograph, our automated frameworks check it utilizing photograph coordinating innovation to distinguish child exploitation imagery or when you send a link, we scan it for malware or viruses,” the Facebook Messenger spokesperson said.
